Now, if anyone out there knows anything about "The game" or pick artist they probably will know what I'm talking about. If not google David Deangelo, Mystery, or check Roissy.wordpress.com.
Dating in today's society is pretty rough. Though from my point of view ie. an intelligent, introverted college student who needs to get out more, things might be a little skewed. A lot of people claim to be intelligent. But really, intelligence fucks a lot of things up. Ladies don't want to argue with an intelligent guy who has logically answered your question before you asked it. Not to say that I'm that kind of person, it's just that I can easily formulate a counter point to a disagreement I have from my own point of view that I thoughtfully break down to logical fundamentals. So what this looks like in real life, specifically high school when attended by a fairly happy introvert looks something like this:
Her "Hi."
Me "Hi."
Her "Are you new around here?"
Me *returns to work* "Yeah. Why?"
Her "Just wondering."
Me "Oh, OK."
Looking back I realize that had a actually pushed myself to not be so introverted I would have quickly realized that this was probably code for, "Wanna fuck?". But of course that's not what's explicitly defined here. An intelligent person looks at the context and makes a judgement. From that they can conclude the underlying sexual interest. However that assumes they have social experience, know how to use experience to break through the possibility of simple interest. All of which requires a non complacent introverted world view. Or simply an extroverted personality in this situation.
All of which are hard to obtain since introverted people don't just change to extroverted people without a lot of work.
Even today I find it just as hard to get to these underlying possibilities. Partially because that would require some sort of empathy factor with the people around me. I don't have such a thing because I do not identify myself with those around me. Being different then everyone I identify with few people. So thus I am left with apathetic approach to an empathetic, emotionally driven problem, wherein the desired outcome is an emotional involvement with a 3rd party all the while attempting to remove or pretend the apathy doesn't exist. Yet I continue to do this because it's lonely to be different.

Marriage in todays society
From my own personal experience marriage in today's society isn't all that great. Too many marriage end in divorce. Many men and women are cheating on their spouses.
When I see people who are getting married now. I see a lot of people getting married to their high school girlfriends or still dating their high school girlfriends from 3-4 years ago. This is really, really strange. Because this really shouldn't be the norm. Guys who are dating other girls in their college or else where are still having the same problem. They just can't get any girl because the dating market is shit.
I had been in a relationship where if I was depressed about the terrible dating market I would have probably married her even though it would not have been the best for me. I could have seen myself cheating because I was missing a sexual component that I had never experienced before. A friend of mind went back to dating his ex because wasn't able to get any girls to go out with him. He's settling right now.
It's so fucked up because I see a lot of guys settle. I see a lot of girls dating alright guys who should probably be dating some one else. It's just fucked up because guys can't get dates, women can't get decent dates, and the only people who are having any sort of positive reaction from this are the people who want unattached sex.
Not that there's anything wrong with unattached sex, it's just that some of us prefer attached sex for various reasons. Yet it's just so hard to get a relationship if you aren't talking to everyone and making a huge amount of friends. It's a very slow process and even slower when ladies refuse to help move the relationship along in the first stages.

National Novel Write Month
Updates have been pretty much non existent over the last month. I've been so busy lately but I think that will have to change so I can post a little more.
So each year for the past three years I've been writing a novel during the month of November for National Novel Write Month. I'm excited to do so again, and this time I feel like I'll really get into it this year and join fellow writers around my college campus.
I've got all of this month to think up how I'm going to write it, and the name of the characters. I'll probably need to go over some basic plots and characters as well. Nothing that I'll write down though. It's more of my style to think of something in my head and let it mutate into something I might find interesting enough to write about or write in the general area of. In the end I always write in a very amorphous fashion. The novel might start off with a certain premise, or novelty plot device I intend to use, but end up turning out completely different then what I expect. So far it's been working out fairly well. I wouldn't want any of my novels to be published because they aren't of the proper quality, I don't think they ever will be but you never know, dreams do come true sometimes.
I hope many other people decide to join.

Rough break up
I've detailed it in my personal journals as well to my family about me and my girlfriend breaking up.
It was really said, especially because we had a lot of love for each other. Yet that was the reason we broke up after only 10 months. She loved me so much that she didn't want to break up any later to make the pain that much worse. Her idea was that marriage would be in her future at some point and seeing as I was not going to marry anyone yet, she could not continue. It's understandable, and we broke up. I was pretty sad that it had to end so early when we both enjoyed ourselves and were having a good time.
Well it's over now, and the healing has begun. Already I'm pretty close to being over her. Just need to get started on finding some other ladies out there. Being a shy guy doesn't really help, so now I'm back to square one and some what frustrated again.

Death of the *chans
So every once in a while I check out the chans, manly 7chan and very rarely 4chan. All of the cool memes that came from them were amazing, and hilarious and the site just seemed really cool. That is until you actually go there. It's nothing but idiots talking about stupid things and trying to have fun but ruining it for everyone else. It's pretty sad really.
But I have a feeling before it became popular it might have had some cool "this has never been done before" kind of feeling which seems to have left it. Now it just seems that everyone is trying to recreate what they had as the openly secret society has become less secret and just open. And with that all the the things that made it cool were destroyed, people try to reclaim what they lost by leaving but that didn't work either. The newbies no longer created anything new and just repeated what already existed while the older generation had no new ideas. Guess I will have to find something more interesting then.

Being content
So recently I've noticed that I'm starting to become more and more content with the way things are. My patterns of thinking, daily life, love, everything. There just seems to be me going to look at the same old things that I have been doing for the past year or so.
Well I guess thats not exactly true, I may check facebook and the young turks videos every day like I have been since high school but there most definitely been a change with myself. I feel more confident in things I like and have pursued new hobbies. I've never really let go of my old hobbies, just pushed them out of the way for now. I've still gone back to them every once in a while.
The idea of being content with the way life is, for some reason, bothers me a lot. Not changing, and experiencing new things is something I really need. I don't know about many of you out there, but if I don't have something new and I start just doing the things I normally do simply out of habit then I lost the reason I started to do such things in the first place.

Internet Treasure Hunter
So as I was searching through the web looking for reasons why the body cannot heal itself any faster then usual I noticed something on the internet. Well, first of all searching for a complex topic like that will not always yield the right results. But they can also show you other more interesting or similarly interesting things. I accidentally ended up reading some information on pregnancy that I didn't know about. Since it's probably not all that interesting I won't post it but I think you can get the idea.
I've always realized that a person who knows how to intuitively search the internet can always return interesting fun results. Even if you don't get what you were looking for. It's a way to get the most out of the internet. When searching on the internet just remember that you are working with a computer. As an example, when looking for say, "Why people are strange", you can type it in directly or search "why people strange" or "strange people everywhere". Sometimes using a unique search term can cause your results to come back completely different.
Not only that, but knowing when to click on thing helps a lot too. For example, analyzing the pieces of info that comes along with the search can be extremely useful. Sometimes it can show you something interesting. Other times it can show you that that particular link is an ad or has no interesting content of value to you.
Hope this helps some people out there when searching. Happy searching!

Racism and Stereotypes
Sorry for lack of updates this past week. Been busy with a lot of things.
So recently I've had conversations about racism and stereotypes on facebook with some friends of mine. Now I know this topic has been done to death, but I promise this won't be as boring as previous articles that you may have read.
I want to talk about the subtly of racism and the use of stereotypes as such. Many people who speak of racism or stereotypes as applied to the real world can be in danger of supporting the wrong side if they do not understand the subtle word play used by people who are most definitely racist. There is a sort of "code", a set of words, context, and phrasing that can tinge something with a strong odor of racism quite easily. For people who know about this, things aren't new. Racism comes in many forms but it's the stuff that's just enough to make out but not direct enough that you could make a case to stop it.
What I mean is this: Referring an african american man or woman as a monkey is offensive. It's is near a racial slur in america. This is because, in the recent past, people who were openly racist would say that minorities with dark skin were "ugly", "monkeys out of a jungle", not "sophisticated", "animalistic", and so and so forth. African americans, have experience this sort of racism in the past and they won't forget it. However on the other side, not many caucasians know about this. A good deal do, but the ones that don't miss the underlying point.
When people said the Tea Party is racist, they show a guy waving a monkey with a sin on it that says "Obama". Some people just look at it and say "Oh, well they just don't like Obama's policy," when in fact there is a strong hint of racism there. Which is why a lot of people see such a site and claim that the offended party are "making things up and simply complaining about things that don't exist". This only makes that person seem as siding with racist even if they don't mean to. And thus we have politics today.

Mind meld with me
So some scientist have figured that humans can mind meld or in other words, make both of our minds one. This "magic" can happen by simply telling another person a story. Brain scans show that when some one tells a story, we copy each others brain patterns.
This makes the effectiveness of story and the process of story telling so powerful. I've always said that we need better stories to be told in america. As a culture we hear the same types of stories over and over. I simply can't tell you how many times I've seen the generic crime drama spill over into TV and theater simply because people are too lazy to devise anything unique. It makes me wonder if the amount and quality of stories you know can either make you more creative or less creative. I would have to say more creative because you have more experience to draw off of.

Anime is awesome
I've always loved anime and the more I watch it the more I love it. Especially when I hear a good story.
Every time people talk about anime, mostly from Japan, I always say it has a quality about it that sets itself apart from the TV shows in america. People don't understand that, the way it is created is efficient and cheap. You can create elaborate sets that are believable as the rest of the show, and your characters can easily change costume, scene, or anything else without adding to the cost of the production. What this means, is movie like ideas brought to day time TV. Many interesting ideas can be played with and fleshed out over a long period of time.
A good idea of how the medium inspires a better story is comparing the limitations of reality TV. I love a good medical drama like House or Law and Order, but I don't see many of the shows working as well as they could. Which is why we have a lot of reality shows. They are cheap to make and provide the bare minimal in entertainment. It costs too much to make a major production like Lost, or The Fringe, which is why there are only a couple of such shows being aired in one season. It's expensive and the pay off might not be so well. Part of the reason the pay off is so bad is because the sets, actors, or story might not be believable or generally good without enough technology to make it so. So that means the story has to change and hardly ever in a good way.
Anime works because the medium itself is basically limitless in what it can portray and the many styles of artist expression available. In real life we have many physical things to worry about such as set location and costumes. But most importantly you have to worry about having enough technology to make everything fit with the story to portray what you want to say.
As for a medium for story telling; I want what can portray the story as best as possible.

Lost family
I lost a family member just a couple of days ago from what appears to be a doctor errors. From the loss of an important member of my immediate family, I usually find my self reflecting on the days afterward.
Many people make the death of a family member out to be a serious and sad moment in life. I really don't understand the feelings. I've lost other family members before, and it only felt like they've been living in another state for a long time and that I would never see them again. For me, that's not such a terrible thing. People leave you that you like, whether they be friends or acquaintances and you almost never expect to see them again once they leave. Once that happens they are pretty much dead.
The loss of my grandfather wasn't that big of a deal to me and I was really close to the guy. Sure I cried a bit after seeing him in the coffin but I don't feel a terrible emptiness. Most people at the funeral were pretty happy to see other family members and everyone else had a smile on their face. We all told stories of our grandpa and talked about what we have been doing lately. That's what I enjoy and thought a funeral should be like. To remember those who have passed, and push forward towards the future.

Plato and the ancients
I always find the old intelligent people of old such an interesting thing. For some reason I get this feeling that if you study their thinking patterns enough you'll be able to get a snapshot of genius and through that be able to replicate it in some way.
There was an article in the BBC news about how Plato had hidden his real thoughts and discoveries that were dangerous to the Greek religion at the time. This allowed him to preserve all of his knowledge without being considered a heretic. From this scientist have figured that Plato figured out the relationship between music and mathematics. I think this once again shows how religion can really fuck things up and keep us back in the stone ages. We could have been flying around in hover boards already but some religious lunatic had the nerve to say: "Sine and cosines defy the gods!".
Well I still love this article. It says so much about human creativity and intelligence. Being smart isn't the ability to sit down at a desk, and focus on a problem. Sometimes it's working on something else, coming back, and using your creativity to see things in a new late. Intelligence is as much writing a book as it is making equations for gravity and light/matter/mass interconnections. Intelligence is synthesis. Taking two ideas, mixing them and creating something different. That's what true intelligence is and why it's so hard to measure.
Synthesizing ideas isn't something that can accurately be measured right now. Much of it is objective, though some of it isn't such as creating the idea of capitalism. However synthesizing communism is brilliant still, though not the norm. Which is another reason synthesizing new ideas would be such a hard thing to measure.
If only there was a way to make such creativity accessible to yourself at will, society would probably be a lot better and so would everyone's lives.

Technological Singularity pt.2
When I wrote about a technological singularity previously I only spoke about what would happen at that single point at around the expected decade of 2050.
But what about before then? Well we can look at where current technology is leading us. Right now we are making more efficient touch screens and e-ink materials while also delving into nanotechnology more and more. In the computing field, there are many new possibilities and research being conducted. Efficient processors are being turned out that are slower but technologically superior to their faster predecessors. Computing at an even smaller atomic level with new forms of efficient logic gates can make computers more powerful and slower speeds with lower energy.
What does this mean for technology within the next 10 years? It means smaller computers. More touch screen capabilities with more power and less energy consumption. This mean new and cheaper ways to produce certain computing elements.
Outside of computers what's going to happen is a large revolution with new break throughs. In the field of genetics we have seen so much new advancement. Work has already begun on anti aging technology. HIV vaccines have been all over the news just recently. In 10 - 15 years we might come closer to stopping the aging process. By 10 - 15 years we might be able to slow the aging process enough to make people live a couple decades longer. Once again it's all a matter of time. We are getting closer and closer to important new discoveries each day that could change our world.

Technological Singularity
So for those of you who don't know. Ray Kurzweil, is a man who predicts that at about 2050 computers will be smart enough to change the course of humanity.
Yes I know it sounds sci-fi ish but it does make a lot of sense. I'm only in my 20's right now so I don't have much experience with history first hand. Because of my age I'm fairly limited with experience. But I can say that technology has changed quite a bit since I was born. As far back as I can remember, before cell phones were invented people used pagers or "beepers" as we called them locally. I'm still not exactly sure how they work but they were the top of technology a long time ago. Then cell phones became popular. Everyone had em and they were pretty big and the screens were all in black and white. Today, touch screen phones, with built in high resolution camera/video recorders, with various other technology such as built in voice recognition software that works pretty well, is a huge leap in technology.
My father had a computer at his office, it was running on windows 1998. I checked the technical specifications on it. The processor used in the computer was LESS powerful then the new snapdragon processor in the latest droid phone.
In 12 years, a powerful computer is now sold for the same price yet now it's small enough to fit in a phone.
Some people don't believe computers will someday be smarter then humans. In 2020 who knows how fast and powerful computers will be. But I would bet a large some of money that it would be able to fit in our cell phones and our technology will be fantastically cool by then. I would even venture to believe that 3-D technology will be in every household.
A technological singularity will come. Computers will be smarter then humans. It's just a matter of time.

Photography is not a crime!
I've seen it before played out in many youtube videos. Some "punk" kid video tapes a cop and the "heroic" cop punches the guy then cuffs him for being a "hippie with a camera". From then on the comments look mostly like "NAZI PIGS!" or "THEY SHOULD KILLED THAT HIPPIE PUNK!"
Well today I stumbled upon a site called Photography is not a Crime. It's got a lot of stories of people being arrested for simple photography. One story in Carlos Miller's site has a group of high schoolers getting in trouble for disorderly conduct after rapping their orders at a McDonalds.
There are plenty of other stories like that. Some people don't have much of a problem of course, but for people who make a living off of photography, getting man-handled by the police is probably a constant fear. Unfortunately it should be an irrational one but I guess that's not always the case.

Time wasters!
Youtube, twitter, facebook, video games, and various other interesting things always end up causing me to spend hours on end doing nothing and feeling unproductive at the end of the day. I should update my blog but I find myself sidetracked by a song I had stuck in my head which leads me to youtube, which in turn drives me to see if any of the people I subscribe to update. Shortly after I finish I might get distracted with something else that causes me to spend a few hours doing nothing.
I hate time wasters so much but they are so fun and interesting I just can't help it. Though it really does kinda suck that I start a bit of homework then end up getting side tracked only to not get much done after all.
So what works best to ride myself of time wasters or at least minimize their effects? First I try to cut them out of my life. Sure I'll go to youtube but I will only subscribe to 1-3 people and check back for updates when ever I have down time and feeling extremely board. It also helps to have some set things that you need to do during the day. Working out keeps me from using too many time wasters and simply using a lot of mental focus to keep on task also helps as well.
But I think the best thing about time wasters is that you never have to be bored, which I think is the problem. Get bored, find anti boredom. I guess if I just allow myself to be bored more often I won't be going to facebook so much. But it really is a human problem. We hate to be bored by nature. That's why youtube, blogging, and facebook are as big as they are.

Resting and working out
So I've tried this new idea for my workout. The idea is that some people end up hitting a wall when they work out and end up hitting the same number of reps and just can't seem to get any more. Well there is an idea that if you stop working out for about a week then get back into you can hit more weight and put out more reps.
Since I do bodyweight exercises only I can't really but more "weight on" in that sense. But I can hit more reps. When I waited for about 7 days before my next workout I ended up hitting an extra 14 pushups. My max increased from 17 to 20. My overall number of pushups went from 60 to 74. Thats a ridiculous increase.
However I also make sure I get good sleep and working on meditating daily to get the relaxation response going. Not only does the relaxation response calm the body and the mind, it might help the body recover more, especially along with taking supplements to aid the body in work out recovery.
The only downside to waiting 7 days is the wait. I normally work out 4 days a week so it felt weird not to work out. Secondly the pain of burning your muscles afterwards is pretty bad. Working out at a new level is pretty intense and extraneous on the body. I can see me taking a few months to get used to the new work out but I am more then satisfied with the results. But i guess one of questions some people might be asking is: Would I do it again? Yes I would, but not for another 3-4 months. It's something that can be and should be used sparingly. Otherwise I could see some muscle loss after such a long time.

Relaxation Response
The relaxation response is the opposite of the flight or fight response. Supposedly it works like this: If you meditate on a daily basis for only 15 minutes you can lower your blood pressure, heart rate, decrease oxygen levels (which helps live longer), decreases metabolism, and some other helpful effects. Most importantly, it keeps you calmer from doing it after so long.
I've already started meditation. Having many years of experience it didn't take me long to get back into it. There are a few methods I use depending how I feel. All of them require you to either lay down or sit down with your eyes closed of course. But the methods of focus are slightly different. For one I count from 100 to 0 with each count I breath. Another easy one is to count down from 10 to 0 then 9 to 0 until 0 is reached. One last method, is to simply just count your breath and focus on relaxing.
Enjoy!

Vuvuzelas!
If anyone has been watching the world cup then they know about the horns the people there blow called Vuvuzelas. They are pretty cool I guess, but I don't really watch sports at all so I haven't heard the awful power of the horn.
A lot of people don't like them because of the sound, obviously. But some people don't want them banned, which I agree with. The horn is a South African fad or a tradition. It kinda depends on who you ask. But either way I think it's pretty cool. Sure it maybe annoying but banning it would probably just piss off a lot of South Africans who aren't exactly a docile people when provoked. Especially in the racist society that exists down there.

Fads
Some fads suck: sagging pants. Some are just cool: Pokemon. And some are just over the top: See the 80's.
Fads can be pretty cool especially if you are on the bandwagon at just the right time. Even better if you were hip before it was hip, which kinda makes you part of the legendary cool crowd. And of course there are the masters who start the fad in the first place. Only to ride the wave once or twice in their life time, it just can't get any better.
I don't mind fads too much because I can get in on them and give it a new uniqueness that. The fact that everyone can grasp on to one thing, call it cool, and enjoy the moment is fantastic. Sure there are the downsides to fads which causes them to be temporary, but that moment of cool is something no one will ever forget.
It almost makes me wonder what the new fad will be.

Cost of education
Education is an interesting thing. Without it you end up doing the shit I do except for a living. Say what you want, but greeting people at fucking walmart is as much a job as cleaning toilets. It's the a sad job filled with the mindless.
So what's wrong with education? Nothing really. Unless you live in america or a 3rd or 2nd world country, but hey, whats the difference. From the college perspective a lot of shit is messed up. First of all is cost. It costs 4,000$ per semester. 4 GRAND!!! And thats not even for a whole fucking year. To top it off, that's cheap, out of state tuition is 8 grand per semester or 16k a year. That might seem like a lot but that's still loads cheaper then private colleges. In the US we have public schools that are relatively cheap but relatively the hardest. Think of it like community college vs a 4 year college or highschool vs a 4 year college.
Private colleges are the biggest pieces of shit compared to the public schools. Most places 16k+ where I live at. Some small private colleges have 30k$ for tuition each semester. Of course they hand out degrees like it's candy compared to public colleges. Then again that's related to degree. Psych majors are a dime a dozen but NOBODY is turning out 1k doctors unless it's some kind of pre med college.
I know how people in our political system like to talk about the debt of the average person and all, but college doesn't help when everyone is poor in college. Most people have loans and scholarships are hard to come by. Some people make it sound like all you have to do is apply. Well unless you're parents don't work or make near minimum wage you don't get much. Especially if you don't have a 3.5GPA or above. Sure a 3.5 is easy, if you spend all your time doing nothing but studying or pick a major like english. A few people get above a 3.5 but the average is a 2.15, in my college anyway, for a reason. Shit is hard especially if you have a real major. But I think I'll save that for another post.

Gay Trolling

Nothing gets a laugh out of me then trolling the religious with anything gay. As soon as you say gay marriage, they go bat shit crazy. It's just so awesome.
You see it every where. Idiot Christians go on about how they are attacked by the "homosexual agenda". Like this catholic priest that says, signs with gay people are corrupting our childrens . Oh NOES! NOT THE CHILDREN!!! That almost as bad as *GASP* GAY PRIDE PARADES!!! Thankfully a good Christian is passing out bibles if only he won't get arrested again for trespassing. And of course in California, the "gay agenda" has boys wear dresses! Because nothing turns a boy gay faster then wearing clothing of the opposite sex. Just like those evil gay British men who wore pantyhose. The gay agenda, had all men wearing pantyhose hundreds of years ago! But not us god fearing, bible loving Americans.
It's just so awesome. I love how they freak out over even slightly homosexual themes and then in the end, get caught with a gay prostitute only to say: "I'm not gay I just got caught in Satan's web. We all fight that sin right? RIGHT?!"
Sorry, some of use don't care about gay people. Why? Because it's just not a big deal.

SPINLESS
Back problems are always a problem with people. Especially as they get older. I've seen people with a lot of back problems but not understand how they came to be that way.
First of all I have to say. You have little reason to complain if you take care of yourself. It's hard to feel bad for people who knowingly let their bodies deteriorate. Just because it's slow doesn't mean it's not happening. That's why it's essential to keep in good health now so you won't be in pain and incapacitated later.
Recently back problems have been my focus. No, I don't have any back problems. Why? Because I make sure I work out, stretch, and maintain good posture. Working out my lower back and upper back is essential to back pain prevention. I prefer body weight exercises over weights so I do exercises like Over Head Leg Lifts. I do handstand push ups so those also have the benefit of strengthening but I don't recommend doing them exclusively for lower or upper back workouts. As for stretching, which I don't do too much because I don't have any use for it outside of the gym is the Cat Stretch.
When it comes to good posture, many people do it wrong. A recent article in the BBC news says it right, good posture isn't always what traditional knowledge shows us. 90 degree, straight up and down sitting or standing is terrible for the back. As humans, we need the S curve of our back to retain that shape. So slouching back in the chair is good for your back. Standing with a straight back is bad, so if you don't want to end up 70 years old and hunched over, don't stand straight!

Germany starts killing its elderly: A Reply
Germany starts killing its elderly
In this blog I was reading, some religious person talks of a decision in Germany to begin Euthanasia. Or killing those who have wished to be killed in cases of debilitating health.
This person states: "The justice who proclaimed the ruling said it was an advancement for human rights.
Well, if human rights involve killing people then sure. But I don't think that's a human right. If someone is suffering, we have an obligation to reduce the suffering, not to kill them. "
The biggest insult I see is that, if suffering is reduced then it's all better. IF IT CAN BE REDUCED. If it can't then what? If a man/woman develops a condition where the are in severe pain all the time and the pain can not be reduced or resolved, what then are the options? The author of this post never thinks it through. In fact they never thought anything through at all. They just see, a person wants to die, and that's bad.
Well fuck you idiot. If a person doesn't want to be on a feeding tube or in a coma for potentially until death, and they want to say "Fuck it all, just kill me." You're reasoning is to keep them alive. They can't do what YOU disprove of, am I right you prick? I don't see it as human advancement where one asshole who says they are more moral then other people get to make decisions in another persons life and still claim they know whats best without even looking at the mother fucking circumstances.
If a person is in confined to a chair and unable to feed themselves, the author says, "...we recognize the value of their life despite their circumstances." They act like all life has the same fucking value. That's some good bullshit right there. What's the difference between the life of a millionaire and a gay man in Uganda. Well according to the author there is no fucking difference, it's all the same!
Ignorant pricks crying people have too many rights is just great.

Lack of Rationality

Lack of rationality is one of the many things that the world lacks, and desperately needs to survive. How many problems could have been averted by rational thinking? How many problems would just be unfathomable with a good scoop of rational thinking? I'm not talking intelligence here. Just understanding that if A+B=C and C+D=B then A+B+D=B. Understanding that if you think of something it must be able to stand up to scrutiny. If you declare the world is flat and somebody says its a sphere, you better have the ability to prove you're right and admit you're wrong.
Relationships between men and women wouldn't be so insane. You wouldn't hear stories of guys sneaking off with other women or women sneaking off with other men. They would rationally make sure it was understood what each others intentions were before hand. Politics would be simpler. Does said political thing work? If not then what will? Maybe if it worked then it can work now, or maybe it won't work now. Either way if it fails you must admit that it did.
Then again you can rationally create lies in the order of self interest. Yet that would not support a healthy society in order to gain the self interest in the first place so you might not be able to declare that lies are rational if there exists a rational world that can understand you.
However, if the world was rational, you really couldn't have the enjoyment of the stupid, the irrational, and the just plain crazy.

Dead End Follies: Notes on manhood. A reply.
Dead End Follies: Notes on manhood
After reading this article I wanted to respond so I thought blogging was probably the best route.
Anyways, the author of this has said what quite a few people probably believe is true, that men are being "feminized" by society. He makes a bunch of good points that men, and boys have nothing made exclusively for them. That school systems want them to be "quiet, calm and focused" to use the authors terms. He says men are always portrayed as the bad guys and that the only things guys have to look forward to are emo music, social media, Dr. Phil, and metrosexuality. His best example is this,
OK, I just have to say this, BULLSHIT. All of what you are saying is pretty much false. Men aren't being feminized by society, men are feminizing society. School's have always wanted quiet, calm and focused students, it's just that some men are crazy. Some men are loud and obnoxious. They pick on other guys. And in retaliation those men bring guns back to school and commit to execute everybody in the whole building. That's many as hell for sure, but totally stupid, ignorant, and destructive in every way. Both the loud and obnoxious bullying and the retaliation.
Sure I think men are portrayed as the bad guys quite often and women the good guys (pardon the term). But to me, bad girls don't always fit the bill for truly evil in some stories, in others they do, and when they do it's fucking insane. Women and men just have different ways of expressing crazyness/evilness. And yes I know the whole, evil is subjective deal, but I think you get my point.
Secondly I want to bring up the fact that social media promotes metro sexuality and emo music because, well, have you seen the fucking crowds for what you indirectly call "feminine" music? Ladies, tons of fucking ladies everywhere. Emo music, Dr. Phil, and metro sexuality can get guys laid. Macho-ness can get guys laid too, but not everyone can give off the "I'm a tough guy, so don't fuck with me" vibe without real tough guys or even wanna be tough guys wanting to rearrange your face just because you seem to be a threat.
Then with dancing: The reason people don't dance everywhere is because break dancing sucks. Nobody gives 2 fucks if a guy can break dance. It's so played out in music, videos, movies, and everywhere else. Every 5 seconds, it's like, "look at this guys he can break dance, aren't you amazed that he can dance? Bet you haven't seen this like a thousand times already. Watch he can spin on his head! Wow isn't that cool!? I've only seen it like a million times!!!"
And don't give me the "it frightens old people" bullshit. Old people are scared of their own damn shadows half the time. Fox news did a poll and half the old people that watch think youtube is a bad influence on society, well, that's if the they know what it is seeing as 20% never even heard of the youtubes.
Men are the same, the only thing that's changed is you.

Worth The Name
So my brothers and dad were out on their boat on a major lake. It was so large that when a severe storm hit the waves hit 5 feet high and started to enter in the boat. In fear of capsizing the boat, they speed through the storm making sure to hit all the waves head on to avoid any danger. With the fear of the speed boat tipping and the storm possibly getting worse they speed home. They could have drowned that day, but they had the courage to strength the stay calm enough and smart enough to stay alive.
When a friend of theirs said, "Man I'd love to go tubing on that boat, dude it's so fast." I said, "It fast alright, fast enough to out run death itself."
I always that, that was a corny line when people used it in movies. Never had it sounded any more kickass.

Why Transhumanism is awesome
Transhumanism is the idea that us humans can transcend biology, and that with the chance to do so we should take it. Ultimately that leads down a path to where humans and computers merge. Of course, do so where humans become obsolete means we would be able to reconstruct and reconstruct the human mind.
Ignoring all of the technical things that lead up to such a possibility and also ignoring all the of the other things that hinders the idea, it can be fun to play with. I dream of what I would do, and what would be possible. Just think of playing a real life game where you play as the character to your favorite book, magazine, or movie! (Hugh Hefner!!!) That would probably be surreal after you save the planet from aliens or simply get high looking for some burgers at white castle. But after a while you could get used to it. Since you wouldn't be able to really die, the world would really be your playground. Swim the entire ocean and never get tired, fly the skies like peter pan, or even eat fast food without getting sick. Imagine the impossible, be a guy and have a huge cock, by a girl and have sex with another girl who's also you but also half polar bear (OMG what?). So what would be the first thing you would do if you could do whatever? I know I would probably be a badass guy that fights for freedom and is a legendary warrior. It's lame sure, but to really live such a life would be awesome.

Politics
Yeah, I have to write something on politics. Everybody seems to be doing it these days so I might as well. Kinda tired of the stupid laziness everywhere. All I hear on the right is: AMERICA IS #1 FUCK YEAH! All I hear on the left is: AMERICA USED TO BE #1 but lets not do what actually works to get it to be #1 ;_;
Yeah it's pretty sad here in America. No social democrat party, or liberal party, just a party of right wing fiscal conservatives on the left and extreme right wing fiscal conservatives on the right. Both vehemently anti tax but pro spending. Democrats and republicans should both raise taxes to fund all the stupid little projects they need and want so they can also pay off the national debt a little bit, but no. It's all really frustrating because the idiots all vote together as one big group and call them selves conservatives. When they fuck stuff up, it's the democrats fault, and when things go good for the democrats then they probably fucked shit up somehow so we should kick em out and vote republican for another 18 years!
Seriously, I know both sides can be a little crazy but, in the documentary Jesus Camp they were praying for George Bush. Praying because he was god's chosen one or some bullshit. Seriously?! How does that go on? You can't call yourself a modern nation if your politics involve praying that your pope-in-chief reads his bible instead of the fucking news.

National Debt
The more I read the local news and the more I hear about the National Debt, the more I realize that stupidity must be at an all time high here in the US. Sure it's high and it should be lower but can we please, as a people admit that if we want to get it lower we'll all have to suck it up and deal with it. Come on now, the republicans keep talking shit about responsibility but forget then responsibility isn't just taking care of your problems it's also having to take a hit when things go wrong. It's dealing with the consequences for what you are in charge of. If you're responsibility is your child and you don't raise them right, it's your fault if that child becomes a killer, it's your fault if that kid kills you. OK child rearing isn't exactly perfect and some people get murderous children regardless, but ignoring that the idea still stands.
If americans want less national debt we will need higher taxes. Sure it's going to hurt and people will bitch about it as usual but that's too fucking bad. Should of raised your taxes and fixed it before you started this fucking wars dumb ass. You can't blame the billions of dollars spent on wars on the fucking Mexicans. It's the american people that fuck up our economy and its the american people that need to fix the mess. Yes it's going to suck cleaning up your mess, but that's what responsibility means. It means owning up to the ass whopping you've been avoiding.

Dreams
Dreams are supposed to be taken for granted and ignored for the most part. Probably for good reason as most of them are obviously crazy and senseless. Well most of them are.
I really love them because of the strange illogicalness of it all. It's like living the life of a crazy man for a short time. Not only that, but it's amazingly inspirational. Dreams give a new source of creativity and uniqueness to life. I've fallen in a hole before. But never have I fallen threw one and then began to float in the universe, which has happened in a dream before. It's so cool, and interesting at the same time. You never know what you might see in the dream or what will happen. Dreams are pure adventure most of the time. Sure some people have nightmares, night terrors, and other bad things, but that really doesn't fascinate me as much as the more playful side of things.
Unfortunately I had a bad dream just last night. I ended up beating the shit out of this guy I see in real life. Nice guy for the most part, and never had any real problems with him. But in the dream we seriously fought and I beat his dream ass like it owed me money.
This is another interesting function of my dreams. Sometimes they have interesting real life tie ins that make me think. They make me think long and hard about certain aspects of my life. Maybe it's my brains way of drawing attention to problems. Course it could be some other physiological phenomena, but that's just not as interesting now is it?

Fast food rox!
Now, mainly I'm a bit of a health food junkie. I eat a lot of fruits and veggies each day and take about 8 supplements a day. On top of that I work out 4 times a week and am a fairly skinny guy at around 155 lbs.
However I'm not one of those vegan "I don't eat meat because my penis hurts" queers. I eat my hamburgers and stakes when ever I have time to get my lazy ass to cook one. Which is another reason I'm a health nut, it's faster then faster food for the most part.
Good food is not the topic of today's post though, it's all about the greasiest unhealthily food of all: Fast Food.
I don't know what everyone else likes but I like McDonalds. God, their burgers are tiny but they are pretty good. Whether it's the McNuggets or the Selects I like them both because you really can't fuck up chicken and McDonalds does it our way. (lol) The McNuggets are the original kill-you-quick foods out there. They are greasy, and tasty. And the sauces that they give you to dunk them in taste like sugar. The Selects are like the McNuggets but with less grease and they don't give you the shits after you eat them. Which in fast food terms is not just a plus but a rarity.
What I also love is Quiznos, yeah it's a bit on the health food side but they have really good subs. Can't go wrong with the classic Italian. The salad dressing they put on it turn it from good to great. Unfortunately since it's mostly veggies, you get hungry but that only means more room for more Quiznos!
Finally, I also love B-Bops. I don't know if everyone else has them in the rest of the country and probably not outside of the country, but it's a little healthier and tastier then McDonalds and Burger King. They might actually use new grease to cook their shit for one. Their burgers seem to be made of real meat too. But what really makes them so good is the taste. Something they put in the grease makes the food burger meat sweet. And you just can't go wrong with sweet. Their fries are decent, kinda sucky like Burger King fries because they are hard, but not as hard which is a serious plus. There is a lot of salt which a love because it's done in just the right amount that makes it not feel like you're licking a salt lick. However they are no McDonalds which is the king of fries. You can pretty much forget about all other food and just replaces it with McDondals fries. Sure you might shorten your life span with it's greasy goodness by 20 years, but you really weren't going to do anything for those 20 years anyways were you tubbs?

If the customer is always right, somebody has to always be wrong
So at work I got in trouble. Apparently some people can't read the sign that says "Closed" and jumped in my line. Since I had a physics test I needed to take I was not too excited about the possibility for being late. I told her to go somewhere else that I was helping one last customer before closing. This made the old bitch angry and she stormed off to tell a manager.
So I got in trouble for not showing good customer service. I believe the French have it right. The customer is NOT always right, the customers are dumb fucks and need to be told what they want. When you are in any kind of service industry the philosophy should be respect for your workers. Because I could get fired if it happens a second time. If I don't go out of my way to please everybody I get fired, even though I don't get compensated for possibly losing 1 semester of college education from a failed test. If that happens it's my fault for them making me stay late.
This is why people hat working for walmart, sams club, and retail places with the mentality that the people they hired will always be wrong. We have to appease every prick who doesn't give a fuck about what we do, or respect our job.
Seriously, in France they can tell the customers to fuck off. Then when they complain to the managers they can be told by a higher up to go fuck off. Standing up for your employees is not the american way. Workers rights are not the american way. The american way is to tell the employees that they are stupid and that the customers are brilliant just because they hold a little bit of money. This is greed at it's finest.
I know all you faggots out there will probably say "Then get a better job" or "Stop whining". Well would you please just fuck off.

Egg on your face

So my mum just saw what it means to be superstitious and was frightened by it. A relative rubbed an egg on her daughter's face to "rid her of demons". Yeah sounds stupid, it is stupid, and of course it's nothing but bullshit. But mi mums, had a hard time saying that to herself and believing it. She's always believed in demons and afterlives. I thought it was pretty said that I have to tell my mom that eggs have no "special powers" to conjure other worldly creatures. At the same time I probably should have told her and my relative that, screaming "Accio computer" with a twig won't make it fly towards your hand. Especially not when muggles aren't permitted to do so!
Lol anyways, I just tire of all the superstitious bullshit. Demons, angles, heaven, hell, god; you name it. It's all been bullshit. If it fucking work the pope would bother sitting behind bullet proof glass. Pussy should come on out and let his prayer shield deflect the bullets like a real pope would. That's how my pope would do it. And if he died he should come back and say "Fucking pansies, I'm gods rent boy, you fuckers. Piss off if you think a bullet could kill me." Yup that's how my personally pope would do it.

Men, women, sex.
I'm keeping this blog rolling all the time! Feels good to get back on my comp and write a blog entry after a usually shitty day at work.
OK, I was thinking about something recently. Maybe it's just me and my girlfriend but it would seem that many ladies don't understand how a man works. It is portrayed in the media that men a crazy for sex even if they can suppress it. The truth is that men and women are alike in some aspects. Which really isn't emphasized anywhere as much as it should be. I there are some articles about how men's libido fluctuates. Some times it's high and some times it's low. I've been in a low libido point a few times. It's really strange because sex just wouldn't happen if I had the chance to do so.
When a man has low libido, it's really hard to get over. I bet a viagra would probably work well in these cases but it only masks the symptoms of the underlying problem. Which is really funny if you're a young man like me and experienced it. It's like nothing can turn you on. Throw on some porn with low libido and it's like watching an everyday TV show. One with lots of fucking albeit, but a normal everyday TV nonetheless.
I think many people downplay the usefulness of masturbation as well. For the ladies, it's simply an option and not as "necessary" as it is for men. If a guy doesn't fap for one week then he probably has trouble sleeping if he's not used to going to bed hard and unusual things will be a turn on. Ladies he probably wouldn't think of touching all of a sudden look sexy and all hell will soon break loose. Yeah, seriously it's not fun shit. Then you get dreams where you're having sex, which is fun but sorta unproductive in terms of things you could be doing in a dream. Sex is fun and all but I'd rather fly. Just sayin.
And before I leave everyone with this post I want to go over one last point. Sex isn't that important. It's overrated as hell. Fun, but overrated. I think people show it as the end all be all to just about everything. It's one hell of a great hobby that's for sure, but the way it's pushed everywhere is kinda ridiculous. The way people forgo artistic expression for just plain sex works great for selling stuff but it really doesn't get tire some after a while.

This is your brain on simplicity

Living a simple life is not appealing to me. I'm not an outdoorsy person. You could gather that from the fact that I listen to electro house and own a blog that I post on everyday.
Well I hate living in simplicity. I don't dream of living in a quiet meadow somewhere to sit around playing a guitar about cattle. More like a decent city thats not too large but with a massively quick internet to really sink my teeth into. Yeah, I'd probably sit around all day playing video games or doing something else not very productive.
But that's not why I wrote this post. I want to write about simplicity because I've pretty much been information deprived from working repetitive work and enjoying a nice tall glass of homework to wash it all down. It's all left me as a bit of an air head. Simple life has made me a simple person. And I don't mean that as some kind of country western ideal of a simple life. I mean I was driving home and I swear the bug on my windshield was my greatest source of entertainment for quite some time. For about 1 min straight I screamed at it while driving, "Wooooo, GO BUG! FLY MOTHERFUCKER I DARE YOU, I DOUBLE DARE, TRY TO FLY ON MORE GODDAMN TIME." At which point I decided to speed up from a whopping 5mph to 13mph in a parking lot. I really got to go play some Left 4 Dead 2 before I lose my mind to this insanity.

OLD PEOPLE!!!
Ok, so I've been working at a cashier as a summer job for only 2 months already. I've always told people, that only old people shop at sam's club. Big deal right? Not if you work there.
What's wrong with old people? Depends on the old people. My main gripes are this:
1. Have no strength
2. Clueless
3. Always angry
My grandma told me: "Baby they can't help it if they get old. Nobody wants to get old. And there are a lot of clueless young people too." True, true. Grandmama has point. But, are old people less clueless about things then everyone else? Probably so. I can't blame them 100% for that. I probably won't care about what's going on in the world if I constantly shit myself on a daily basis. Also that chalks things up to the "always angry" category. They do have a bit of a reason to be angry about their old age.
On the other hand, there's a lot they could have, should have done but didn't. America is the second fattest country in the world (lol @ fat aussies). That didn't happen over night and sure as hell isn't the result of just getting old. Let's be serious now, if you let yourself go at 40 you won't make it to 80 without a feeding tube. It pays to work out even if it's just a little bit. Work out everyday when you're young so you can stay that way in the future. And don't go buying green tea pills to extend your life when you're 70, you'll just die a week later. If you don't take it when your young and dedicate yourself to such a lifestyle then prepared to get fucked over like everyone else.
I may be young but I'm keeping my body in the best condition I can. That way I won't just give up and grow fat and lazy. I changed my lifestyle before I was forced into it as a last ditch effort. I won't be trying to lose weight to keep from dying because I won't let things get to that point.
OK OK, maybe I'm ranting too much and just whining. But come on now. I used to be single working at a job full of hot ladies. Now I'm dating a girl a like which is a hell of a lot better then being single, and the hot ladies are gone which means a lot less people my age to talk to. I'd rather not say "Hey dude, my physics class is rough", and get a reply, "My grandson is taking physics."
Well it could be worse I could get, "Back in my day we didn't have physics, we just had gravity and sometimes we didn't even use that!"

The State of Dance

So in America, more like, in Iowa since that's where I live; I don't see any new dancing or hear of anything. I was going to join a hip hop dance club but it's just so lame and played out. Nobody gives a fuck about pop locking because its so limited. You can pop lock to certain songs but it's just so old school. It's all been done before. I'm tired of seeing retards with the same played out dance moves trying to free style with lame pop locking. In other words, it's old I a hate it because it's old.
Breakdance is played out the most. I've seen videos of great dancers but it all seems old. Some played out music styles from 10 years ago with all the same moves. Don't get me started on all the fucked up crip walk, krump, and other "pretend to beat the shit out of my imaginary friend" dances. It's kinda funny that dancing used to be a huge thing. All over the world people would dance. Ball rooms all over the planet rocked with some lame 60's music and a super simple dance move that everyone could do. Ball room dancing was big back then.
Not that the past was any good. It sucks now, and I sure as hell don't want to bring back the old swing dancing and shit. Fuck that. In France they had a dance called Tecktonik which I probably shouldn't say because it's copyrighted up the ying yang and thus it's now dead. Well relatively dead compared to how it used to be. It's 2 times more popular then breakdance according to google trends, last I checked. Though it's now called electro danse or milky way. The popularity is still higher then breakdance. For a good reason too, it's new, the music is unique and in my opinion, pretty fucking awesome. Of course there are similar dances which have high popularity as well: Jumpstyle and the Melbourne Shuffle. All of which is popular in their country of origin. Unfortunately most of it is kinda dead outside of their respective home turf though videos of people dancing them can be found all over the world.
I think the US should bring some much needed revision to our 30 year old dance system. God knows our music would need to change a bit instead of doing what we were doing 30 years ago. I fear any style of electro house would be fucked by being turned into super poppy fun music but then again we really don't have shit here in the US outside of rock and rap. It's pretty much all we do here. We're pretty damn good at it thankfully, even if you think our top 100 shit is boring at least a good deal of the songs require some talent.
But this all might just be wishful thinking. Dance and make a fool out of myself? Why do that when there's so much free porn on the interbutts?

Not sleeping

So lately I have been having this strange sleep cycle where I go to bed at what ever time and wake up once or twice during the night before falling back asleep. Most of the time I'm half asleep and usually talking about something strange. I already thought I was talking to my mum on the phone. It might be from my ginko pills I started taking recently but then again my sleeping cycle has always been pretty fucked up.
After being interested in gaining more time for myself I ended up trying polyphasic sleeping from this awesome site: http://ohgodthechicken.com/ I wasn't very successful both times I tried it. Mostly because I don't sleep if I'm not tired. And if I am tired I don't always sleep. Since it usually takes me 30 mins to sleep I opted for the 1 hour siesta schedule, though that didn't work because I was tired all the time. So eventually I chucked it.
It did work the first time I tried it though. But at that point in time I wasn't actully trying polyphasic sleep. I just liked to stay up until 3 in the morning. By the time I ended up going to sleep it would be about 4. Since class started at 8, I would get just enough sleep to get done with my morning classes before taking a 4 hour nap. It was trippy as fuck waking up at 8 P.M. and having lunch/dinner/breakfast/whatever the fuck you call a meal after getting up at 8 P.M. I did feel like I had a good deal of sleep and a shit load of time really quickly. It felt like I gained a ton of time, even though I spent most of it browsing the interwebs for awesomes.
Where as I again? Oh yeah. So, I've on more then one occasion understood the idea of "dreams bleeding into reality" and it's been one of those nights again. The awesome part though, is when you can't tell the difference. I've had this "knowing" that there was a few people nearby that I had helped because they were customers or something. When I'm dreaming and don't know it, all kinds of crazy shit happens there.

Online Jobs Bullshit

So lately I've been looking for ways to make a little extra cash. Working as a cashier doesn't pay for much except the bills and going to school year round really doesn't help my ability to buy shit so I actually started to look around a bit. After digging through a lot of BS, scams, and holy shit you've gotta be kidding me!? 2,000$ a week from freelance writing?! lol yeah. Exactly. Not a lot of real things to do to make some cash out there. The only thing I found is blogging, (see this blog) and an online jury thingy.
Oh well. I may make a few pennies for blogging and all but I take this thing a little more seriously. I'll probably be writing a ton of shit because I do love to write. It's something that I can't stop and love to do. And I like to talk. It doesn't matter about what or to who, it could be a friend, girlfriend, a tree, a trees girlfriend, I just don't give a fuck. I like to do stuff. Making money is one of them though thats just because I'm broke. THANKS A LOT 200$ TEXT BOOK! (Fucking asshole).
BULLSHIT
Just starting this blog and hoping to get more people to join. Don't know what I want to do yet, but I want to do and talk about whatever I want for what ever reason I want. Sounds like a pretty good idea right? Who knows. I'll post shit every day if I can because I always have something to say as long as people want to hear it. Thats my philosophy.
Well for my first post, I'll be talking about bullshit. Everyone hates it, everyone has to deal with it. I know I'm tired of it. Working a shitty job for a shitty pay check just to be slightly less poor then before is great as fuck. Putting up with nothing but old people as they stupidly look like someone shat in their face is more then enough fun for me.
